Brandon Webb wins NL Cy Young Award
Brandon Webb of the Arizona Diamondbacks won the National League Cy Young award on Tuesday. Webb beat out Padres closer Trevor Hoffman for the award. Last year's winner Chris Carpenter came in third place.
Webb had a 16-8 record and a 3.10 ERA. He is the pitcher with the fewest wins to ever win the award. Many had predicted either Webb or Chris Carpenter would win the award.
The American League Cy Young award winner will be announced on Thursday.
